Switch to healthier eating this season
Changing unhealthy eating habits is a challenging task and there
is a misconception among people that eating healthy means eating bland food and
only meant for the people who are fitness freaks. These factors make eating
healthy all the more complicated.
Building a healthy eating habit is not about setting strict limitations on your diet, having unrealistic goals, or doing away with your favorite food. It is also not about being perfect in your diet plan and you probably don’t have to change everything at one go. Rather, it is all about having a balanced diet that includes macro as well micronutrients. This not only makes you feel more energetic but also improves your health and boosts your mood. A balanced and healthy diet has been proven to give various health benefits, namely lower risk of catching several chronic diseases and keeping your body healthy.
The Winter season is nearing the end and Spring is approaching fast. It has been written in our Vedas and Scriptures that we should follow a specific diet according to the season. There are numerous reasons as to why we should alter our diet according to different seasons. It is nature’s demand to eat according to the season as our weight, energy, strength, and wellness depend on our eating pattern. However, this does not mean giving up on your regular or favorite food. Rather, your food should include different ratios of macro and micronutrients according to the season.
A better approach to switch to eating healthy is to take small steps at a time. Having modest goals will help you achieve more in the long run without having to deprive yourself or being overwhelmed by a sudden diet overhaul. One of the steps to eating healthy could be adding salads to your diet once a day. Over time this would become a part of your regular diet.
